I shot this early one morning. Trying to decide how much orange is needed. It was really orange with the sun coming up. Feel free to give your help. Two of these have been completed with HDR and one with RAW from the camera. I have worked on the RAW some.

I still could not get my Toapaz plugins to run even after putting back the missing file and rebooting my computer. I am running Windows 7/64 with the latest service pack. I had to uninstall NIK from my computer, otherwise it keeps on reinstalliing the new version. I have read other blogs that state the this is a huge problem. Hopefully Google/NIK will solve it.
I got the same message. Called Google and they sent a new version and it worked fine. Told me that I would not have to uninstall old version. I do not have Toapaz, but I feel like the service rep. should be able to help. Good luck

If available on your camera, increase the Exposure Compensation until you get the proper light level on the athlete. This adjustment basically tells the camera I don't care what you think the settings should be I want more light (or less). I believe you must be in manual or aperture or shutter priority to do this.

Thank you

Sports photography is fun. It really does not matter if you shot Canon or Nikon, both are good cameras. You should go to a store and get a feel of the camera you are looking at. Before you buy anything go online read and study. Look up the sport (baseball) that you want to take pictures of. Cameras are changing everyday and you can spend a lot of money. I shoot sports a lot and this is a list of my equipment that I use outside:
-Canon 7D
-70-200 mm f2.8 IS II
-1.4 extender
-Monopod
-300 mm f4
I will be looking to get a full frame camera and a 24-70 mm f2.8 in the future as the bank account allows. Have fun

I have been trying to shoot some at a track competition. The sun is behind the runners as they cross the finish line. I just have not been able to get the shoots right. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

These are some of my first tries at B & W. Please comment. Thank you

I have tried to take out the lines in back. I have LR5 and this has been hard.

I'm in the Develop module of LR 5.2, with all the thumbnails along the bottom of the screen. When I select/highlight several thumbnails and click Delete, only one gets deleted. That doesn't seem right.

Hold on a minute! I just tried it in Library, and I can delete whatever is highlighted. Whoopee! I wonder why there is that difference.
After you have selected the photos you want to delete look in the lower right side and enable auto sync and you should be able to delete all of the images.

Ditto here Canoe 50d. I waited until I could afford the Mk lll and my only regret is that I had to trade in my 7D for it. Amazing camera, and I read here that it has fixed some of the complaints of the Mk ll so I can't imagine getting a Mk ll, even a used one, for a lower price.

But no one has mentioned lenses. The Mk lll will not take any of the "S" lenses that my 7D did, like the kit lens 15 - 85, which I loved! Now I'm waiting to re-purchase a 7D as my 2nd camera. The lenses I had are brilliant with the full frame camera they were designed for, especially the Sigma 150 DG Macro. Dave

I only have one "S" lens. The rest will work with the full frame cameras. Thanks

Your 7D is capable of 16 X 20 if you have a very good lens. Try shooting with Canon L lens. User a Tripod and shoot with low ISO and Aperture of f11. Last but least, use manual focus and take your time to check image, and shoot with mirror up and use a remote shutter release. One extra bit of information, use a hood and increase setting for a bit more contrast and coloration. And if you still want a great camera and have the money to burn, I would definitely go with a 2DMIII or even better the 1DX. Have fun.

I already shoot as you mentioned. I print a 13x19 and it looks good but have had people ask for larger. Thanks for the info.

I had the same decision.

I added the 5D Mark III...its controls are similar to the 7D (that's good) and the expanded focus and low light capability was spectacular (that's good)...yes it was pricey (that's bad). I found the e-book Canon 5D Mark III by Klostermann a great help. David Busch's Compact Field Guide for the 5D Mark III was a waste of money.

Just came back from Africa, the 7D and the 5D MarkIII were a great duo.

Good luck
I am looking to go to Africa in 2 years and that is another reason I was looking at a full frame.

I have a Canon 7D that I got mainly for sports and wildlife. I have started shooting landscapes and wonder what full frame you would recommend. I will be keeping the 7D as I like it for what I use it for. People have started requesting some of my landscapes and I know with the full frame I can print larger photos. Does not have to be a new model.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Has anyone tried this Tamron lens for indoor sports. I was thinking about using it for High School basketball. Did not know if the auto-focus would be fast enough. Thanks for any comments.
