I found some techniques in the past. What one photographer did was put a partition in the tank and it made the fish stay close to the glass and made it easier to photograph the fish. I have photographed the Point Defiance zoo's fish with my point and shoot. You do not need a waterproof camera.

I used my old cd's as paper mache craft projects. I made paper mache vessels and they were the base and bases to put vases on.

Most babies out grow this condition. I know people who have a heart murmur all their lives with no medical attention needed.

I have had a heart murmur all my life and I am 61 years old and still going on strong. I have bee tested with this during my childhood and have been told abut it but nobody raised red flags or gave dire predictions. It is different from person to person and each case is unique.

I put m y best photos on flickr and I do have favorites among the batch that I just posted. Would you believe the ones that I thought were my best work got few comments and the ones that I thought were OK got the most? I found out that you never can tell what people will like. Bravo for you for not listening to the naysayers.

Sorry I hit the button twice.

That is a very nice shot and worth the prize. I have spent a lot of photos trying to capture bees and my ratio was this: 100 photos, 80 deleted, 20 acceptable, 10 worth looking and 2 to 3 great. Your patience paid off and you accomplished a prize worthy photo.

One thing to remember about Amazon is that you may not be purchasing from Amazon. I bought a used flash from Amazon not realizing it was from a single mom in San Diego. We had a problem, but worked it out. I think Amazon is great, but you even need to watch there. No different than eBay.

I agree with you a 100%. I look at the approval rating of the company and I deal with 95% or higher and anything you do online has the possibility of issues. My experience with Amazon has been positive so far. Have I had issues? Yes, but I got them resolved. But for price comparisons, they are invaluable and give you an idea what is out there. I look at different stores. If you are interested in one you could always google the store and find an address and call. I trust Amazon more than Ebay. Ebays's conflict resolution I find is the pits, while Amazon really goes out of their way to help you.

As a volunteer at the local County shelter I have decided to add a feature. I've added a Portrait of a different dog each week complete with backdrop and some dress-up flair. I've only done this one week and already have had numerous comments from folks not believing this is a shelter dog.
Just wanted to post this piture and info to get feedback from my fellow hoggers :-D

She is so cute and I hope she got adopted, because if I saw this photo of her, I would have run and adopted her on the spot. Keep up the good work.

This sure sounds like unfair business practice and alteration of agreement regarding return or exchange. I would call your credit card company and cancel the order as well as report this vendor to their fraud department if this sale was misrepresented in any way. The alteration of their exchange/return policy seems to demonstrate that this vendor is unscrupulous. However, we don't know what was agreed to in the original sales conversation. Yes......I agree this might be a case of Caviat Emptor, but there are certain rules that are required to be followed and you should check on your state's regulations.
Sorry to hear your dilemma. I'll be waiting for the post that names this vendor. It might be a good idea to write a letter to SONY's US sales organization as well telling your tale and name the vendor so they are alerted to this practice.
This sure sounds like unfair business practice and... (show quote)

This advice is really sound. When I am interested in a camera, I go to the site of the manufacturer and see what they charge for the item of interest. then I go to Amazon .com and look at the same body and get prices from them. I have been very lucky in that regard as Amazon is a very reputable organization that takes care of its customers. Plus the prices are really competitive when I go to Amazon.

Art for me is like beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder.

How true that is, as we all come from our own world of experience and see things our way. We may agree, but how we got there is all our own. By the way, I love your photo.

Here are some examples of what I think is art, and some may say it is, and some may say it is not.

It is a piece of abstract art, and for some it is hard to appreciate, but as a piece of art it has a lot of merit as some of the comments say , they keep coming back to it. I like it for its simplicity and you transformed the rose to its core elements and it is eye catching. Not all photos have to be literal to be appreciated. I like this.
