The Len is great and so is 7iii. I use that lens on my A7Rii a lot and I try happy.
You may also want to get Sony Imaging Edge (it's free) that is designed to work with Sony RAW. There are some things that the A7iii and A7Riii can do that other processing programs do not work with.
I only shoot Sony cameras but use SanDisk and Delkin SD cards with no problems. After I download images from the cards I always reformat them in camera. could it be that you need to format the cards in the camera you are using that card in? I wonder if the crop sensor in the A6000 requires a different formatting operation of SD cards than the full frame A7iii?
The concerns already expressed about micro adaptors are good consideration also.

Capture One Express for Sony is free as it is not the full package of what CO does. Capture One Pro 12 for Sony is the full package for only Sony cameras and you pay for that. However, you pay a lot for the full package for all cameras.
I have two A7Rm2. I love this camera. Since the A7Riii has been on the market the price of the A7Rm2 has been reduced. You should be able to get one for around $2000 now.
When I go to a location to shoot for myself, I do not make a physical list. I have been shooting at the Oregon Coast Aquarium (Newport, Oregon) for the last three days and today will the fourth. I will get there and then decide what I want to concentrate on. For example, yesterday it was sea urchins. The day before it was sea anemones. At the same time, I am photographing other sea life that looks interesting (i.e. sailfin sculpin and juvenile wolf eels). And then there is my always growing series of "That's A Moray".
I have two A7Rm2. the reason is that one place I shoot at is Wildlife Safari (Winston, Oregon) and when driving around there some shots are far and other shoots are closer. Having two cameras with different lenses works well.
The A7ii is mirrorless. The telextenders from Sony (1.4x and 2x) only work on a few lenses and they are all GM lenses not G. One example is the telextenders work on the FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM but will not work on the FE 70-200mm F4 G. Sony has this information on their website.
If the Tamron lens works with the Tamron telextender and is E mount (for Sony) then it should work on the A7ii.
The point is that telextenders are lens specific, they will not work on every lens. The other thing is that telextenders seem to be brand specific also.
Camera settings are tools to create interesting images. When I judge images I do not care about what settings were used. I care about the overall impact of the image. The impact is about how the subject is presented.

The Sigma MC11 adaptor is great for Canon DSLR lenses to Sony mirrorless. When using this adaptor you have full AF functions. I have used this adaptor in the store, but I do not have Canon lenses.
