What would be the point of having a Republican Party – or any other party for that matter – if it weren’t diametrically opposed to the other party? Are you suggesting that Congress should go along with whatever Obama proposes? If that’s the case, then I’m sure you’ll have no problem with Democrats voting lockstep behind a Republican president should one be elected.

Your question, “Will they continue to be the ‘Contrarians’?” I’m kind of curious. If the president is a Republican and Congress is Republican, won’t it be the Democrats who are then the Contrarians? Unless, of course, you believe the Democrats will vote lockstep with a Republican president as you believe the Republicans now should vote with Obama.

The right to own a gun is a Constitutional right guaranteed universally to both men and women.

The right to an abortion is a twisted concept of the 14th Amendment’s Right to Privacy decided by seven old men in black robes that applies only to pregnant women who choose to murder their unborn child.

An infinitesimal number of gun owners buy or own a gun intending to murder someone. On the other hand, every pregnant woman seeking an abortion does intend to murder someone.
