As a suggestion, hold down CNTL-ALT_DEL, and select Task Manager. If you see a lot of programs and processes running that you don't recognize, or that you recognize but which shouldn't be running, try something like Start-up Cop, which lets you decide what programs should always run at startup.
Malwarebytes is free for a short time then they want you to buy it.!!! you can also see what is starting in windows using msconfig don't need to buy a program for that.
