TriX, I appreciate your view of Petter Hörnfeldt. It's true that I haven't watched his vblogs other than the one I took exception to. And I have no criticism for his flying expertise. But this particular vlog was not about flying skill, it was supposedly a factual report on the history of Boeing and its leadership.

I am also a pilot and was a part of that company's corporate headquarters for more than 20 years, knew many of the personalities responsible for decisions, and why the decisions were made. I did not always agree with some of the decisions (especially the sale of the Wichita plant), but I left with a great admiration for the company and its century plus leadership of the world aerospace industry.

Unfortunately, Petter Hörnfeld's view of the company's history is solely from the outside, many thousands of miles removed, and without any first-hand knowledge of events. The video clips he used to create credibility were great, but the narrative was written based upon magazine and internet commentary written by third party critics who did not have direct knowledge, and who sought attention through distortions of truth, inuendo, or pure speculation.

It's a sad commentary that many of the rewritings of history being made today are corrupted by the hubris of the writers. And people who base their knowledge on self-appointed "experts" and anonymous internet trolls without bothering to dig into the facts, will believe anything.
