"Activate Live Viee" doesnt even apply to Z cameras. Thaz an SLR option. Id be wary of whatever else you may read by that source.

"How to get histogram on Nikon Z8?" was my query.

I should not have trusted the results that came up.

Thanks for the correction!

If these were posted in the Sub-Gallery: Birds section I would be asking what lens you used.

Every bird and background were great!

I just read this:

How to get histogram on Nikon Z8?
To turn on the Histogram display, activate Live View and then press the “info” button until the Histogram appears over your image.

$32 is 45.025% less than $33.92? Is this that new math?

It could be .045025

BTW where are the lawyers for a class action lawsuit? Open and shut case.

You are responding to a thread from 2022.

If you really want to discuss this, start a new thread. You may get more responses from folks who are active.

Using Replace Background. First image I imported a background from my files using Generative Fill. Second image I used Generative Fill with the description "uptown New York.

These are more interesting than most of the photos in the Gallery.

It might be time to sell my cameras and concentrate on "Make Believe"

Very enjoyable

Automatic organization is leaving the problem to someone else. Again, you want control. You want to be sure that it's done your way because you are the one who will be using the photos and you want to be sure they're the right ones.

I would probably approach the problem as follows:

Connect a fresh clean disk and create a folder 'Archive' or some such name. Copy ALL the photos into that folder. Then go through the process of identifying duplicates and selecting the one you want to keep. Copy them to a new folder structure and try to organize them in that structure. That way if you screw up the duplicate cleaning you still have your old photos where they were originally. When you've got your photos organized to your satisfaction, delete the old copies of the photos and copy the new folder structure to your primary location. Then save the scratch disk as part of your backups.

Thanks, gmar3180 answered my question.

Duplicate Cleaner will only show you the file locations. It's up to you to reorganize them, if that's what you want to do.

Thanks for the prompt reply

As far as I know, the last 400-yard world record speed was broken by a runner running AWAY from Abes. Does that tell you anything?

It took you over a year to come up with this???

When using "Duplicate Cleaner" or something similar, will the images that remain still be scattered all over the place or automatically organized?

This is a focus-stacked image of a cicada. Anyone living in the South or Midwest should be familiar with their emergence now.

There are many species of cicadas, but they all fall into two categories: annual and periodical. Annuals, as the name suggests, are present every year — and the sounds they make are generally what you might associate with the noises you’d hear on a typical summer night. They have green bodies and black eyes and are most active during the evening and nighttime hours.

Periodical cicadas, like this one, have life cycles of either 13 or 17 years, emerging after underground development in large groups called broods. Instead of green bodies and black eyes, periodical cicadas have red eyes and can look especially striking immediately after molting.

I'm familiar with the annual ones, but nothing like this. I never thought I would call a cicada beautiful, but this is truly a beautiful image

After shooting I remove both cards (if camera has 2 slots), one with JPG and one with RAW. I transfer images to hard drives and and put the cards aside. I put my oldest, comparable, cards into the camera and format at that time. I go through 2 or 3 sets of cards before being back at the originals which I then format.

I never start a day with anything but formatted cards in the camera(s).
Pretty much the same routine with batteries.

"Sub-Gallery: Birds" might be better, but it should be moved.
