I hate to beat an old drum, but photographs have been artificial intelligence (still makes me chuckle) generated since the first digital camera. The technology (just like all technology) is simply better now.

The fz200 has an AI setting. Manual says the camera figures everything out for you. Came out in 2012. Same thing? Hm.

Both shots are very good. The first street scene is fascinating & unique.

Thanks so much, John! I'm trying to see more outside the box Not sure of the below that I just finished editing. Perhaps relies too much on special effects?

I really like the this new one. The contrast, maybe? But, it sure caught my eye.

Any have you having issues with CameraConnect? It used to work for me, but anymore I can hardly ever get my camera to show up in the app. I connect my phone to the camera’s WiFi and open the app, but I can’t operate the camera from my phone. Any advice on how to solve the problem?

Not a canon owner; but, Snapbridge Is an app for connecting Nikons to your smartphone. Couldn’t get it to work. Was at a camera expo several years ago. A Nikon factory rep. tried for at least 20 minutes with my camera & app and was unsuccessful, too. Doesn’t solve your problem. Just thought I would mention it.

Prior to heading for the Eclipse I took my cameras in to Nikon for sensor cleaning.

When I went to pick them up the manager told me that my lens mount on the D850 was bent.

I questioned how that could happen because I do not recall doing anything that would cause that.

He asked if I keep my lenses mounted when the camera is in the camera bag. I said yes.

He said that if my 200-500 or 80-400 were mounted it is very possible that it could get bent in the bag when lugging it around.

Thinking about it, with the battery pack on the D850 and the 200-500 mounted, it really does not lay flat at all.

So from now on, I am going to disengage my long lenses when packing my body and lenses.

Cost to repair, $350.

Don’t know if it makes a difference, but I always have my camera situated with lens pointed up when in my camera bag or sitting on a table. My 2 cents worth.

Discount Electronics https://discountelectronics.com/ - reputable online dealer from Austin, TX. I have done business with them with good success.

I’ll second that. I have bought several desktops & several laptops from them over the years. Never one quit on me. They know their computers. Just my 2 cents worth.

Don’t know about the Impalas, but I had 2 Chevy Chevelle Malibus back in the 60’s &
70’s; both 1966 models, with 3 on the tree, bench seats, and 283’s.

Search for “there are more trees on earth than stars in the galaxy” and you will get the info - here is one of the reports:

According to a study published in the journal “Nature,” there are approximately 3.04 trillion trees on our planet. That’s an astonishing number, considering that the Milky Way galaxy, which is just one of billions in the universe, contains an estimated 100 to 300 billion stars. In comparison, the number of trees on earth is several orders of magnitude higher.

Numbers don’t seem to add up. If there are billions of galaxies in the universe each with 200-300 billon stars, I think the math will come out to man more times stars out there than trees on Earth. Pretty sure that 1 quintrillion is more then 3.04 trillion

Most of my photos look just right when I shoot on jpeg "Standard", which is a little tweaked from jpeg "Neutral". I only shoot RAW when the situation looks like it might need more processing and possible marketing. Once I spent 1/2 hour processing a RAW image and it was saved as a jpeg that looked just like the SOOC jpeg. In-camera jpegs can save a lot of time.

When we come home, usually the cat has been napping on the front porch, and will get up, walk over in front of us, then just flip down on her side. She wants to be petted. I would think if I would floon my side like that it would hurt.

NX Studio will show the adjustments that the jpeg got in camera - which will depend on the Picture Control settings in the camera. NX Studio gives the option of applying the exact same adjustments to the raw files, or if you want you can choose another Picture Control profile to apply. It's worth having a look at the adjustments that the jpeg files get. There's nothing magical about them. They're fairly basic. And the same adjustments are applied to all jpegs, but if you edit the raw file you can give each image tailor-made adjustments.

May be a little confusing to the OP? NX Studio will allow you to make some adjustments to JPGs (contrast, brightness, etc.), but raw will give you the ability to adjust considerably more.
