Excellent. Far better than any I have managed. Especially the 2nd one.
Thank you Ken. This morning there were fewer swallows which gave them more room to weave around making it very difficult to pickup a focus lock in the viewfinder. After a few short bursts I moved on to a red-tailed hawk nest. Here is one shot with a neat background of the bushes on the opposite side of the Arkansas river.
Thank you for Tcthome. The swallows were really moving this morning with no wind. Usually there is wind from the west and the swallows fly into the wind slowing them down while feeding, making it a bit easier to get a few half decent captures.
You've done well Lynn, they are fast little things... Ron.
Thank you Ron. After about 10 minutes at the rivers edge I was done trying to follow these little buggers taking short bursts as they they were in this feeding frenzy. I'll be back early in the morning, the hatch only last a few days at the most.
Thank you Mike. The sun was out today after two days of overcast conditions. I was able to up my shutter speed to 1/6400 with a Auto ISO maxing at 1600 to get these shots.
