Are they really abandoning Joe? Or are they playing politics like so many voters. It is a way of bringing one's issues to the forefront. (The Trump supporters don't seem to do this. They will do whatever the leader says.) I could be wrong, but it seems to work nowadays on many issues: abortion, student loans, middle-east, THC, unionism, etc.
So you are saying the the whiners on the left are bluffing? Of course they are!
Abortion? Underage?, Incest?, Medical Emergency?... those are all legitimate reasons in my book.
I'm an adult and forgot to take a pill and I don't like condoms? Seems like a copout/weak argument.
Then again, I don't have to have the procedure or live with the feelings that go with it. I am literally willing to let this be a women (not women in theory) only decision/vote.
Student loans - I don't care why anyone took the money, they still took it. They have to pay it back, every damned cent.
Middle East - it would be wonderful if we could stay out of it. The population numbers and the willingness to die in the name of a cause say otherwise.
THC? - I'm assuming you mean weed and it's byproducts. I see stores in Rhode Island. Saw them in California years ago. I'm going out on a limb here but I'd almost bet you could get it in the mail. I didn't realize this was a political issue now.
Unionism - I think it has had its day. There are lots of great things about Unions, fair wages, health coverage, holidays, job training, safety, etc. Unfortunately it doesn't reward those who excel and it is inclined to set the bar low all while keeping wages and benefits high. At the end of the day it is like having to navigate the government of your job while making the company less competitive in the global economy.
Perhaps you would like to tell us why we (taxpayers) need a teachers union. You all have college degrees. You could probably get a job doing something else. I witnessed firsthand the great "Math/Science Teacher" flight of the late 70's and early 80's to the tech revolution. The ones that were good at those jobs got paid well.
I don't believe in tenure. No one gets that in the free market and since that is where most of us are, I can't imagine why I'd want to fork over my tax dollars to support it.
