Submitting a photo for a contest ... topic: fishing (that's it ... no other direction). I can't decide between #1 and #2 so any input would be very much appreciated.

Bow River #1
Bow River #1...

Bow River #2
Bow River #2...

In #2, crop out a small portion of the lake at the bottom, thus moving shoreline and boat from near middle of picture.

These are nice images, but the subject should be "mountains." The fishing thing is about 2% of the image. I do not think they fit the category - and I do judge print competitions.

I prefer #1 as an image, but as a judge in PSA competitions, I'd ding it for not fitting the category.
I see a very small boat on water in front of a majestic mountain.
The image does not evoke "fishing." Pass.

#1 does it for me as a photo, I tend to agree with the above comment, but I would be pleased to have taken both shots.

As a photo, I also like #1 better. And, I also agree it does not fit the category of a "fishing image".
