I have every piece of photographic equipment I need and will never want anything else (smiley face): A Nikon D750 and 24-120 lens for landscapes, etc; the D7500 and 300mm PF plus 1.4X or birds, etc. That said, any thoughts about whether I need to fill the gap between 120 and 300? Or am I still suffering from GAS?

Yes, you definitely need an 80mm lens.

A 14-24mm f/2.8 and a 70-200mm f/2.8 or 80-200mm f/2.8

But you are still wanting to buy something else.

Haha, so do I - an 18-200 and a 50.
The only G.A.S. would be another body, but that would preclude obtaining another zoom...
(For my old film SLRs I had about six lenses, no desire to acquire another bunch. )

Ask yourself what will make you a better photographer and spend your money there. Maybe spending money on a travel or taking a photography class will make you a better photographer.

Why don't you wait and see if your photography really needs something between 120mm and 300mm by shooting with what you now have.

If you are not sure if you need it or not (and you not a photography beginner), then likely you don't really need it.
