You know, don't you? … Like the one Ansel Adams used for those great pictures of Yosemite? … It seems the makers of these great cameras, aren't around, anymore. Even Linhof only provides 4x5s and cut film units. Deardorff - the maker of his 8x10 and 11x14 - don't seem to be in business, anymore, or are they?

Try the viewcamera store... there are some more sources just google "11 x 14 view camera"
One camera I saw was $8000.

I don't think Adams ever used 11x14.

I know, Bill … but the images would be twice the size I get from my 5x7 ….

And, I kinda like the idea of that size proofs - being eligible for framing …

Can you get 11x14 film now? It's not very difficult to build one though.

Oh, I should think so, Bebu … even if Kodak isn't making it, anymore, I'm sure Ilford is - B/W anyway.

Not sure if Agfa is still producing film, but I'm damned sure Fuji is … it's in their name, after all …

Where might I find plans to build one, Bebu?

EXACTLY, Bill … imagine the detail!!!! … Don't think you can do much better (in something manageable.)

That was what Ansel Adams used … if it's good enough for him … it's good enough for me, too!

Very funny, USER … AF, indeed!!!!!

May not work well for action - but think of the depth and detail - you'd get - shooting the team!!!

Of course he did, Bebu … he used a Deardorf 11x14 - for many of those shots he did of Yosemite and the California mountains in the north … check out some of his books - the cameras he used are all listed ….

He used 8x10 a lot but I don't think the used 11x14. He didn't have an 11x14 enlarger either.
