i’m having a problem finding the hot shoe piece on the web, I have seen them. I purchased mine from a guy who made it on his 3-D printer, but I’ve seen them on the web as well. The bracket piece can be found anywhere, an example is

The laser pointer is important, these cheap ones on the market are worthless, they can’t handle cold and they die in a few minutes. Z Bolt makes great lasers, they work in cold and they have a power button that will keep the laser on. Others, you have to hold the button or use some cheap adaptor that will hold it on. 9Those don’t work very well either.) I went thru at least a dozen lasers before I bought the Z Bolt.

I’ll keep looking for the shoe used to hold bracket.

Looks interesting. My laser does pretty well when it's not below 50 deg. Of course, I dont either. The adapter looks like a telescope finder mount with a hotshoe epoxies to it. I might try something like this, Thanks

That lens did a great job. Will you try stacking next?

Also to help with the alignment, you can look into a laser pen to attach to the camera, works very well. If you are interested, i’ll Get links for what you would need to attach to your camera. Also, i’ve wasted money on lasers, so I could recommend one that will work.

Hello Brian, Craig here. I am definitely interested in that link for the Laser Pen.
I have the same Lens and a Full Frame Nikon Camera. Thank you.

Hey Craig, hows things going?

The laser pen is from z bolt, https://www.custom-laser-pointers.com/low-temp-astronomy-green-laser. They are on sale right now.

Thank you very much Brian, that looks like it could work quite well.
