A very tempting lens there, twoods! Had I not just recently bought the lens below I might be tempted beyond resistance. The range of 150 to 600 would be phenomenal with my new-to-me 5D Mark III.
My intended primary lens for this ff camera is a Tamron SP AF28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD IF Macro that I’ve been using on my 60D. Would you rate your Tamron experience positively?

Not really familiar with that lens, but I've had the 70-200 f2.8 g1, 24-70 f2.8 G2 and this 150-600 G2. I've had great experiences with them all.

With the Tap, your deal is a good one. I’m surprised you haven’t had nibbles yet. Tamron make fine lenses.

The Tamron is an excellent lens, I had the original, the G2 is even better. Without hesitation I would purchase another one.
