'Anticipation'

Captured at Keeneland horse race track in Lexington, Ky between races. It's exciting for me to observe the reactions of those in attendance, before, during and after each race. A B&W conversion under a different name is out there somewhere, but this version I felt the title, 'Anticipation' was more appropriate than 'Behind Closed Doors. Thoughts and comments welcomed.

On the money. First, it a great moment-capture. Then, you have used technique and composition in a unique presentation. As Steve Martin wrote (he is a great art collector), "With good art, you go, 'Huh?' then 'Wow!'"

Thanks Bob !!! The back story, initially her scarf was covering her nose and mouth. She had such beautiful eyes which is why my goal was to capture only her as described, then ... this happened. A freebie I cannot, should not nor will not complain about. Sometimes the unexpected is better than the ones planned.

Its terrific but my inclination would be to crop away 5 or 6% from the left.

Yes, a perfectly timed shot Dave. Love the pp. Wonder if she’s related to Bob Dylan - there’s an uncanny likeness!

The B&W version is cropped to just about to your inclination Mark. I decided to back off a little with the colored version, but I do understand your point. I decided to post the B&W sepia version. Thanks for the feedback and comments. It's much appreciated.

Thanks for commenting Dave. Always appreciated !!! Related to Bob Dylan is doubtful, you must see something that I don't, but thats nothing new.

I'm sure this will be just me, but in the first picture I looked and looked and couldn't figure out her positioning. In your second I finally understood because I saw the man right away. In the first one I never saw the gentleman.
