I have been following a thread wherein another newbie is seeking advice for poses. This lass is being encouraged but without examples. Today I was exploring some olde tyme stuff that perfectly matched what the lass is seeking - examples. So here are examples, never before here posted, fresh from my scanner. Please do not complain about the technical quality; these date back to 1978 or so. These are suggested poses for the lass seeking advice. I think them worthy. The first two are in my favorite setting, an old barn (by the way now blown down in a tornado). The third image is simply of a lass showing herself in a kind of standard pose. My comment here is to suggest to the new person to get a friend, a guy or a gal, a friend, and forget this selfie thing and use these images as suggestions.
Love older film shots.
Need a selection of a face or breast with the mirror shot.

Very nicely shown Jim. The poses are classic in their simplicity, and beautifully photographed.

Great poses, Jim, and the second one is outstanding, I think.
Your models always have interesting poses.
Regarding the first two images, taken in The Barn, the gal said as we left "I've never done anything like this before !! That was fun !!" Totally an amateur, she came up with her poses nearly all on her own, with minimal guidance, some suggestions from me. Minimal props (a piece of sheer fabric, for example). As I recall we ran through perhaps three or four rolls of Plus-X.
Classic. Like B&W.
