What has been your experience with refurbished cameras from Nikon vs used from Adorama? Specifically a d750.

I have gotten both and have been satisfied.

I think "no problem" as long as the camera has been refurbished at a factory authorized service center and you get the same warranty as new. I purchased a refrub direct from Canon and have had no problem.

A refurb camera is practically a new camera. Some dealers like Cameta offers a whole year warranty on refurbs. Roberts Camera offers a 6 months warranty on used products. I do not know about Adorama or B&H, perhaps they offer a 30 days warranty but not sure of it.
If you ask me my first choice will be a refurb camera.

I wouldn't buy from either. The Camera Cottage gives a year warranty vs 90 days from Nikon and other retailers. PS Mt shooter, the owner.

The 1 yr warranty for a new high-end camera is meager at best. There is nothing magical about a refurb from the vendor, the warranty is no better.

You are better off buying a used unit from a vendor that has a 90-180 day warranty. You can then add in a multi-year Extended/Accidental Drop&Spill protection plan for a much better deal than paying new.

Purchased my D7200 from B&H so I could purchase an extended warranty on it as well. Works like a charm! Also have several refurbed lenses and no issues with any.

My D810 came from Nikonusa.com refurbished low shutter count and I really enjoy using and learning all the things it can do. Buy refurbished not used is my 2 cents.

Thanks again for your replies. The UUG group is certainly a good reference place to check. FYI, I've ordered a refurbished 750 from Nikon. Just waiting for the BBT.

I recently purchased a D7500 refurb from Adorama for almost $400 below list new. A 90 day Nikon warranty and zero shutter count. So far, so good and I'm both pleasantly surprised and unexpectedly happy.

I've purchased referbs most of my life, no money, and have never had a factory or good name brand photo shop issue.

I've purchased 3 refurbished Nikons from Cameta Camera in NY - the latest being my D610. They have all worked flawlessly - and Cameta gives a full warranty - not the 90 day Nikon. Hope to find a refurbished D850 one of these days to move up from my D610.

I just bought a refurb Sony RX10 from Cameta Camera to replace my original RX10 that got fungus in the lens from living in Thailand for the first year I owned it. The refurb appears and works as the original one did when I bought it new. I saved $200 or 25% buying it rather than a new one.

Agree with Jerry. Have bought s number of refurbished cameras from Cameta, never had a problem. Their warranty is generally 1year.

Congratulations! Their President's Day Sale on refurbished ends today, so you got an even better deal than usual. That's where I got my Nikon 24-70mm f/2/8 lens, also during a sale.
