I have been using Pentax equipment since 1964 and have had great results, from the old H3v, the Spotmatic, K10D, K3D, and still have all of them in perfect working order. Even a small point and shoot Optio. Not to knock the competition, they may be good, but Pentax measures up in every respect.
I agree. Not quite as long a user, since 1977 anyway. Note my tag line. And those are just the Pentax cameras I still own and use. Hoya screwed Pentax up. I think they only really wanted the Asahi Medical products. Ricoh from what I hear is profitable but they save on Advertising what Canon, Nikon, and Sony spends. I do miss the old Asahi days. I have Pentax lenses from Auto-Takumar to smc-Pentax-DA* and FA. With some of every lens sort in between.
