Just Fred, I appreciate it! Kindness and consideration is so rare these days. Age-wise, I am in the same zip code as you. Different experience for us, eh?

Tsk, tsk. We're really testy tonight it seems. You see, no mistakes are allowed on this forum. You will be put in your place if you err.

Which is the exact reason I NEVER post on this forum. I read daily and the majority of people are gracious but there are some real jerks on here as well.

Poxer, you really should not let the jerks intimidate you and ruin this forum for you. For every one of these mean-spirited beings, there are many, many more very nice folks. The majority will welcome you and be very pleasant and accommodating. The jerks are just sitting there waiting for someone to make a mistake or misspell a word. Then they pounce and the word goes round the 'jerk round robin' to join in and insult the person. I think it makes them feel superior. It is a form of bullying and it is sad it is permitted here.

Please don't let them silence you. I am sure you must have something to offer, as does the original poster.

My copy was in Chit Chat, just where it was posted to. When you open a post at the top of the screen will appear post title and forum posted to. At the top position of the digest there is a recent posts section where everything new goes. Maybe Admin will explain the process.

Just Fred, we all want to be friends, not enemies ( my hope, anyway). Its a forum and it's just a post...it was originally posted in the wrong place, so what! It certainly won't be the last time (we all know that is a truth)... let's not run off the new folks, let's encourage them, and if the post is in the wrong place once or thrice, no harm, no foul. I understand your desire for correctness, but... let it go...…

It may belong in general chit chat, but it does have pictures... how finite do we need to be? Hey, at least it wasn't a political post!!!! Or some bunch of nastiness.

Take care, further on up the road my friend.

I am a free thought soul. So what if this is in the section.
Some fun. Ritchie Valens big hit was "Oh Donna" we loved this song.
On the back was a song we didnt like at all.
We it was "La Bamba" that became a huge success later on.
I was of the age to go to the Rock & Roll shows in NY.
Every rock & roll act in one show. These 3 where a big loss.
Buddy Holly was brilliant.
Didnt get my first camera Pentax Spotmatic until 5 years later.
The music, the art, the photography made me want to go the
The School of Visual Arts in NY. It was hard to get in but I did.
This is how a creative life starts.

Thanks for the (sad) reminder.
"A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance, that I could make those people dance
and, maybe, they'd be happy for a while.
But February made me shiver..."

For the comment below, this is "General Chit-Chat". Almost nothing here
has anything to do with photography. Shush... Just mourn by singing along.
