Thanks...it was a fun, but IMO, pricey ride (EAA member price of $417, purchased a couple months ahead of time...and it was one of the last rides of the week). The plane was EAA's "Aluminum Overcast," and it tours the country in warm climes. I couldn't afford the B-29 (already sold out at $1200/ride, but I don't recall if that was a regular seat ride or the bombardier's seat, especially). If you're not doing anything the last week of July, head to Oshkosh, WI and check out the world's greatest and largest aviation conventions and tour one of the 10 best aviation museums in the world. By the way, there are only 2 flying B-29's left in the world and I posted a pic of them a couple years ago in my FB gallery from Oshkosh.

Kinda late, but this is probably one of my favorites (I had other contenders). From a B-17, near Fond Du Lac, I think - trip started in Appleton and flew over Oshkosh and turned around.
Nice shot planepics been over Oshgosh flying into Fond Du Lac many times. Never got such a clear shot always hazy. Can I ask what camera and what time of year this was taken. Maybe spring?? thanks Bob

I was using my Sony a77 with a 17-50/2.8. I intend on upgrading to a 77ii at some point as I rented one a couple years ago (Osh '17) and noticed focus capture and speed were faster than the original (I also rented the 70-400g2 - awesome!). If you have FB, check my gallery, almost all of which are, um, plane pics. Oshkosh is held the final week of July 22-28 (
www.eaa.org). I didn't go in '16 as my money went toward a trip to Israel. This posted pic was taken on 7/29/18.

That's the Big Bend I remember...
Thorns and Spikes and Stickley Cactus,
Everywhere you walk you need to be eyes open...
even the rocks are sharp...
then, there's the critters... :-)
It's beautiful, you captured it well...
