Hello, Im using an SD Card, it seems that sometimes, when Im at 4G, My camera says wrong format, and will not allow me to view photos, this also happens when I load them in my computer, not quite sure what this all means, and how would I get to the correct format, Im using a Kodak Easy Share Camera, with a 10x zoom, I usually take the card to a photo store, and there isnt any problem, Hmmm, now what do you feel Im doing wrong, Thanks, George
Try this:
Save everything on the card to your computer. After everything is saved, use the camera (not the computer) to format the card. I'm wondering if the formatting (file system) of the card got messed up.
What Snowbear said - another thing that can cause this - if you're transferring pics to your computer, and you pull out the card while it's being accessed, it will give you "Incompatible JPG" reformat can fix it, usually.
Hello, How would you change the format in the camera, Thanks
It's not to change. it's to scrub, erase, eradicate, blank out, start all over ! Go to menu and poke around - there should be a format option - just be SURE you have everything copied off !
This happened to me once. My partner let someone use of my cards while I was out shooting someplace else. She thought that since I the pictures would be removed it didn't make any difference if the card had been in another camera.
This may not be the cause of your problem, but I once bought a 4G SC card only to discover that my camera, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7, could only use cards up to 2G and gave me a format error. Larger cards are called SDHC and won't work in older cameras.
I have a few older point and shoot cameras that are like that. It has become difficult to get cards small enough to work in them.
