I bought the P800 after my previous Epson stopped printing because of clogged nozzles. Never ever use third party inks!!! The P800 prints superbly and the front loading sheet feeder is a dream!! Can’t go wrong with the P800...

I have owned an Epson P800 for about three years and am very happy with it. It replaced and Epson 3880 which replaced an Epson 4000. I bought the P800 over the P600 as I tend to do a bit of printing and the ink cost was a bit lower. I use ONLY OEM ink and mostly Red River Papers and have been pleased. I normally print from Lightroom Classic within a Color Managed setup and have had no issues. Best of luck.

Also occasionally there are refurbished P800s available from Epson and some of their sellers at about 50% off list. I am very happy with my P800. I agree that it has better paper feed than the 3880. I have heard however, no personal experience, that the roll paper mechanism is a bit fragile.

We updated to the P800 (from the 3880) specifically for the roll feed capability - 2-1/2 years and many large panos printed without a single issue. It has also been vastly better than any of our earlier printers when it comes to clogging - the P800 has only clogged the standard black, and it doesn't clog that as long as we remember to print every week or so. We have made that easy - we just print out a document on it instead of using the Canon laser printer we used to use all the time! I don't print mat photos, so we aren't wasting ink switching blacks. The standard black works just fine on plain paper documents.

I am in the need of replacing my printer, and when reading about the various Epson printers, find that this one might do the job. If any of you use this Epson p800 printer, could you take a moment and give some feedback of perhaps what you like about it and what you dislike about it? MANY THANKS!

(I looked up posts about printers and was unable to find anything recent.)

I had an Epson printer ten years or so ago. After the damage and mess of the printhead leaking, I will never buy another Epson printer. I love my Epson scanner but hate their printers. I currently use an HP Photosmart and a Brother printer.
