Maybe it is the other way around....you were inspired by the maestro. Imagination runs high in this fanciful composition. I'm not sure that particular bird works in that environment.... but it is, after all, your fantasy and I like the overall treatment here. That bright spot, rather than detract, in this case becomes a point of interest that makes us wonder. Very nice.

The effect is getting more interesting but you're getting careless with the details. The parrot looks messy when you zoom in on it and some of the effects look almost accidental.

The enjoyment of fiction, be that audio, visual, poetry, or prose, requires the suspension of disbelief. And in the case of this image I just can't get there with Toucan Sam and Freddy the Frog in the image. So I've taken the liberty of removing those characters and concentrating on the image elements that I find fascinating. In particular the moon and the fairies in their native habitat.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. This is very much a work in progress. I am going to spend some more time with it over the next few days and see where it goes. I have definitely learned that blending is a complicated process. I will post the final results.

Thank you all again for your comments and suggestions. I gain something from each of your inputs. I have so much to learn and I am enjoying every minute of experimenting and spreading my creative wings. Is my work perfect? Nope, and it will never be. I'm ok with happy accidents. Is everyone going to like what I do? Nope, and I'm ok with that too. (Dave, I agree the toucan didn't work) As my knowledge and skills grow I may look back someday and see all kinds of things I could have done differently or better but today I am happy with this. It makes me smile. Thank you all for kindness and patience.
