yahoo used to have that option, it was very easy to send a large number of pics cuz you could automaticly lower the dpi. is there a program that does that?

I use Irfanview (free software) for all my (minimal) editing. It has batch processing capabilities. Which I have never been able to figure out, but I'm not very technologically adept.

Hendrick, Ducklady is correct - the free program "Irfanview" has a batch processing capability that will do exactly what you want, fairly easily.

1) The program is available from wwww.irfanview.com
2) After installation, open one of the pics you want to alter.
3) Click FILE/Batch Conversion/Rename on the main menu.
4) Use the file-open dialog area on the right side of the dialog box to add in the other pics you want to alter.
5) Click ADVANCED button over on the left side.
6) Click the SET NEW DPI VALUE checkbox and type in the new DPI you want.
7)Click OK
8)Back on the main dialog, click START BATCH

It's looks more complicated that in actually is.
If you have real difficulty, PM me.

Holy lightbox, Jim. God freaking bless you! I've been trying to figure that out for ages.

Thank you, thank you.

Good old Irfanview....it is free, and simple, yet loads so quickly that it ends up getting used all of the time for those little tweaks that don't require opening your main processing program. ie...re-size, or crop....or even add simple text. ( and of course it does batch processing easily too.)
