I am planning a 2 week trip to Egypt in March. How about some recommendations on a lens to take. I am using a Canon T3i. I am still a ameture and I hope you guys out there can help me out. I have a canon 18-135 I use a lot. What do you think?

That should be fine, especially in reasonable light levels.

The 18-135 should do for 90%+ of all daytime outdoor shots. (unless you are into stuff that needs a long telephoto or ultra wide). Add a fast 50 or wide angle for night or indoors and you should be OK.

The focal length range of your lens is good for your trip IMO. Only other suggestion I can think of is a flash, a monopod for stabilization, and a prime lens for low light. Really depends on your style and if you will be shooting mostly outdoors (would leave your set-up as is but with a monopod) or in lower light. Without breaking the bank, the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is a thought. Good reviews and reasonably priced. Good hunting.

If you want more telephoto you might consider the Tamron 18-400mm.

I second that - it's a very good all-purpose lens.

I have both the Canon 18-135 and 18-200 and I use the 18-200 far more often than the other lens on my closest camera to the T3i, my EOS 60D. My favorite, and most used, general purpose zoom lens is my EF 28-300L.

Your 18-135mm is fine. Take an inexpensive pocket camera as a backup. Sony, Canon, and Nikon, have some bargain priced ones.

What other lenses do you have? I'd consider a Canon 50mm or 24mm , also Canon 10-18, I do like that wide zoom, enjoy , Bob.

I think your lens is perfect. You might add a 50mm 1.8, or rather a 30mm prime (because of the crop factor.
