How can I get a photo from e-mail over to a photo edit program? My old brain forgot how!
Press on the photo and a menu should appear. Choose save. It will go to your camera roll. If you editing program doesn’t allow access to to camera roll just copy it to the desktop and you can pick it up these. Most program allow camera roll access.

Was it pasted into the email or was it a file attached to an email?

....On my computer, I just hit "download" on the image (hover your cursor over the image, it should give you an option) and from there put in in whatever file you use for pic storage.
Have an AWESOME day, gblack67!! .....Whooohoo!
It was attached to the email

you should be able to download it. Remember, it is probably not a very high resolution image.
Thank you all for your help. I was able to get it over to edit it.

Just select and copy, or move, or drag!
I discovered that if I save the email with embedded images as a web page (HTML), you will have the HTML file, but also a folder with the images in it. This comes in handy when people send me multiple images for posting on our club site which are embedded in the body of email as opposed to being attachments..
Thank you for all the info!!
