I bought a Nikon D7200 in a package this Black Friday and all was delivered as promised with no issues! I would highly recommend them as their bundle thrown ins make them a better bang for your bucks!

I once told a drug store owner that he had some really ugly dusty candles up on his shelf, right next to some more expensive clean ones. He laughed and told my that all customers want a choice. He never restocks the uglies because no one buys them but they all move themselves over to their other choice (as indirectly guided by his selling experience) haha ha. I have used B&H and Adorama, they are about two blocks apart from each other in NY as I remember. B&H is huge and Adorama is the ugly cousin. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they are owned by the same families. I personally think that it is that candle thing, I go to B&H to check the reviews, then go to Adorama to check the price; then order...but the money just may be going into the same bank. Buy anywhere you wish, but check them first. K

And just what are you suggesting by that comment?

I have purchased, and had to return an item to B&H, from Adorama and B&H with complete satisfaction and no hassle whatsoever. B&H even sent a prepaid shipping label. I haven't purchased anything from any of the other mentioned companies, but have read glowing reviews here, and elsewhere, about them. You will be good to go with either B&H or Adorama.

Adorama, B&H, Cameta - you will find these names mentioned a lot as trusted vendors.

I have had good success with Adorama but they, like all online sites, fail to inform you, until after you order, that the item you ordered is on back order. Also, most sites are so large, customer service and response to your concerns are non-existent. Such is the state of our marketplace today. Put up with it, or go without!

I have bought from them and straight from Canon for about 80% of my purchases. Never ever have I had a problem with either. The other 20% I spend locally.

B&H seem to be quite articulate in English. Unlike yourself.

Could there possibly be something else you dislike about them?

Nah, it couldn’t be...

I have done a lot of business with ADORAMA and could not be happier with EVERY purchase. I had purchased a camera not too long ago, and after over 6 months the camera was not performing as anticipated. I sent it in to have it checked out, They claimed it was operating within spec. I told them I was dissatisfied with the camera - They offered to exchange it and I took them up on the offer. The replacement camera performs perfectly. I could not say enough good things about that company and their customer service.

Bought a d5600 and a 18-300 lens from them. Not a standard bundle but they gave me a good price on Black Friday. Camera and lens for about 600 each. Shipped on time. Received in good shape. Well packed. Not one bit of trouble.
I would definitely recommend Adorama.

Adorama is first rate. I buy from them just as much as from B&H. They have excellent product support and customer service. They are part of the big three in USA photo sales, B&H, Adorama, Amazon. No one sells more than they do. Adorama TV is an unrivaled free youtube resource of hundreds of expert photo learning video tutorials for beginners to experts. And Adorama Pix is my go-to professional-quality photo printer for any kind of media, size, shape, quantity. Just an outstanding company from top to bottom. FYI , I am a pro shooter of over 40 years in the business. Cheers

Tim … it may SEEM like B&H and Adorama are only a couple blocks apart, but, when you're in NYC - everything just SEEMS that way, as it's so quick to get ANYWHERE within Manhattan - via the subway. But, on the ground, it's another matter, indeed. B&H is a pretty big store. It's on 9th Avenue, at the corner of 34th St. It seems like it fills a full block, but, I don't think it does. It is, however, at least six full floors. Here's a link -

Adorama, on the other hand - only has a huge presence, on the Net - equal in every way - to that which B&H has created. However, it's just a hole-in-the-wall - down on 18th St. in the middle of the Flatiron District - which is just three short blocks west of Gramercy Park, and four blocks north of 14th St. The nearest Avenue is the Avenue of the Americas (aka 6th Ave.) - to get from one to the other on the ground, is likely to take a matter of hours! Anyway - here's a link for Adorama -

For what it's worth - I don't think the two stores are affiliated in any way, at all. Just the fact their two locales are in very different places, from each other, and that one is an enormous building, and the other is barely a shop-front - tells you an enormous amount. I will say this for Adorama - they do now have a number of Rental Centers, in other locations. So, they do seem to be growing, somewhat.

But, most definitely - they ARE - both - in New York City - but, that's where the similarity ends!

Thank you for that detailed and descriptive explanation of the two stores. I have not visited but your explanation made me feel as if I was there.
