Very nice. #1 would be my fave from this set.

Finally feel comfortable sending a "decent"photo. First from Isle of Skye,Scotland. Second from Glencoe,Scotland..first time used slow shutter speed for moving water. No pp but a bit of lightning on my mac computer.,jim

I had a tough time picking one "favorite" (posted my candidates in a separate thread), but I think this one is the winner. After a very disappointing visit to Yosemite National Park this past summer (smoke from the wild fires), as we were leaving for the next destination I saw this view of El Capitan near sunset. With some magic of PP I was able to resurrect a passable photo.

But, if you allow "cityscapes", I'd pick this one:

Correction - two decent photos . Nice use of the curve of the glen in #2. Most people are too busy looking at the slippage to notice #1 in the other direction.

2018 was a strange year in that I took hardly any photos at all, and only a tiny percent of those were landscapes. However, I have an intimate landscape abstract from Feb I like. Tree reflections on a pond (flipped vertically), and the patterns - similar to my mountain stream - are caused by light and wind action. The bird silhouettes may be artistic license

#1 is well spotted and well put together. #2 suits the pano look.

Beautiful. I like the way the birds crept up on me - it took me a while to notice them.

Linda, I like your abstract, but why are the birds not distorted?

R.G., thanks very much. I liked your #2 best.

Fred, I like #1 the best--the lone tree just grabs attention.

R.G. and Richard, thanks so much.

Thanks David! As I mentioned, the birds are "artistic license" To the degree that my half-baked idea came out of the oven, I imagined a sky/tree scene (that's why I vertically flipped the orientation). I doubt I have the skill to properly distort them to make them part of a reflection & shadow scene, but it's a great thought - one I'll add to my challenge list.
