Be aware, that with darn near every "FREEBIE" come a curse---VIRUS and Misery---Consider what your computer is worth and what it will take to get the garbage attached to the free down load removed.!!!!!!!!!THIS IS EXPERIENCE ---

I use Avast Antivirus and download loads of free stuff and have never had a virus in it, maybe a few unwanted bits of crap like toolbars, but you can usually untick the box and not download. Try http://www.majorgeeks.com/ completely safe with all the things I have downloaded.

My dear, you are an acception. I use Malwarebytes!!! The last free download, recomended by a fellow rider, was so infectious that Malware spent a half hour just recording what needed to be perged! Free advice is worth what we pay for it and sometime the payment hurts! I'm toubled by your use of the your use of the word, "loads".

Don`t be troubled by the word loads, i run one laptop with windoze 7 and that is the only Microsoft product I use. Everything else is free or shareware similar to the MS stuff eg Openoffice etc. The other is on Ubuntu and everything is free even the OS, unless like me you make donations. ;-)
Malwarebytes is not an antivirus program, it`s anti malware, by the way I have just updated mine on the windows 7, run it and got a clean log. Of course on Ubuntu you don`t need anything. ;-)

Thanks for the education---I am well aware of what protection I receive from Malware---that's why I run AVG also! Have a Grandson who is CIO of a Houston Mortgage Banking Co. They use Malware exclusively. By the way, I never said that it found Viruse. Donations to whom?

lol, AVG...that's the 2nd most common AV on computers that come in for cleaning. The most common is expired Norton, most don't bother to renew it after the 90 day trail runs out.

Said it before on here, AVG and any 'free' AV is like having Saran Wrap for a windshield. It'll stop the gnats and skeeters but the 1st Junebug is coming right on through!

I use Malwarebytes, and Avast, and have never had a problem with either one, they are great programs that do what they claim, and do it very well. I have and continue to recommend, both these program.

I just did a search for the domain within double quotes to see what others say ("how-to-green-screen.com")

If there are red flags you will see them, I would consider it legit.

It is a plugin for the paint.net application and as a plugin it is not an executable. Paint.net is used by many here and I have never heard of a virus from a plugin.

The guy that built my computer installed AVG three years ago. My Grandson, who is CIO of a Houston mortagage bank recomended Malware. Think I'll trust them rather than some wannabee Geek Squad reject! Had Norton and had one hell of time firing them. And by the way, upon what what do you base your opinion. Oh yes, forgot the gutter example of opinions like derriers: every one has one, some just smell worse than others. Nuff said!

I study and keep up with this stuff and for me it would be a coin toss between Avira and Avast. AVG used to be good but it is kind of bloated with the latest releases in the last year or two.

Google for,
avg vs avast vs avira

You should get some good user reviews.

hey, easy there champ, I'm on your side. It's dumb asses like you that keep me in business. See em all the time. They come in and say "my grandkid said....and now I don't know what happened". I just smile and tell them what a smart grandkid they have and I'm still smiling as they hand me the check for a hundred. I even wave to them as they are leaving, knowing that with grandkids like that, they be back with more money for me soon.
