I don't know - the owners weren't home and I got permission from their son who was visiting from New York.

Thank you - glad you liked them. I prefer to shoot indoors without a flash when possible and am starting to think seriously of upgrading to a D750 which is supposed to be better in low light - hope it's not simply a GAS attack!

Thanks, Sue. I think "spartan" is a great description of their living conditions.
And, I don't think the average person could "stretch" out on those beds; I'm
pretty sure you'd have to bend your legs to lay down on them.
