Base Price makes sense. The base price for my roadster (convertible) was $4036 and I recalled the coupe was about $200 more.

My 63 375h.p. fuelie, cost me, new, in 1963, was $4258 delivered. Only 1 add, leg warmers! (Lake pipes [side pipes])

So, not reading through the thread, I would hazard a guess at $3900, give or take.

In my opinion, 1967 was a banner year for many many car companies... Classics All! '67 Mustang, '67 GTO, '67 Chevelle, '67 El Camino, '67 Camaro, '67 Firebird, '67 GTX, '67 Baracuda

1967 and 1969

In late 1965 purchased a new 1965 'vette with the small engine, 4 in the floor and no other bells or whistles for $3,650.

<<GRIN>> Nope..this is the Sting Ray!

The 'Stingray' badged cars, started in 69. The 68 was still referred to as a 'Sting Ray' but was, in fact, the new 'Mako Shark 2' body style. BTW, the Mako Shark body style was a concept car design.

A point of interest: Several years ago, there was a 1963, 327" fuelie, like mine, showroom, original, sticker and all, (paper floor mat sheets and all), 2500 original miles, sold for 1.6 million at a Hot August Nights auction.

Only things upgraded were the tires (factory repro's, and the battery. [guts rebuilt so still in original case,]). The seller *did* remove the cosmoline for the auction!

My first car was a 1965 GTO, and it cost less than $3,500. Wish I still had it.

I currently have a 1974 Corvette, all original drive train and leather interior. I believe it had a repaint. It’s the last of the Big Blocks (454), has a 4 speed, with factory AC, no cat. This 454 was reduced to 270 hp. I had a cam, headers, and an electronic ignition put in bring it to around 400 hp. This is not as valuable as the Vette of the 60’s, but it’s a lot of fun to drive.

Probably between $4,500 and $5,000. The C2s are terrific designs as were the '68-'73 models. I would still love to have a '71'-72 with some improved suspension. I did own a 1998 for 16 years and loved every minute of driving time in it. The C7 is also very impressive with huge horsepower even in the base model not to mention the Z07 or the ZL1 models.

of this car new? I will tell you that the sticker price included $658.00 worth of options and $51.15 in destination charges.
I photographed this vehicle at the Ellenton Florida car show about 2 weeks ago.
The present owner still had the price sticker and I photographed it. Make your guesses and I will post the image of the price sticker in this thread tomorrow.
Have fun!

In 197 I missed a 1963 split window for $ 1000, just out of the service and no money. It's enough to make a grown man cry.
