Mitt Romney has told us that he did in fact pay the required 13% taxes during the past 10 years. Okay Mitt we'll trust you on this, BUT as we were taught by that great American President Ronald Reagan, "Trust, but verify."

And so somewhere in those 10 years, or even 5 years as was just suggested, there is something that Mr. Romney doesn't want "us the people" to see. Here is what I suspect, That he was so heavily invested in China that it would be proven that he prefers to create Chinese jobs as opposed to American jobs. Heck... "you people" just demand too high of wages and medical insurance and paid vacations and sick pay. The people of China don't. "You people" affect my bottom line way more than the people in China, so I prefer to invest my money in creating jobs for them, not "you people." Don't believe it? Next time you see him on the campaign trail ask him about Global-Tech Appliances Inc., it's a Chinese firm that he had invested in around 1998-2000. It was a Chinese appliance manufacturer trying to get a foot hold in making refrigerators, etc. that used to be made here. China vs. American jobs.

So yes Mr. Romney "we the people" will trust you on the taxes, but we're still going to need verification.

Wouldn't it amaze the American people and the world if both of these boozos said ' Lets use the popular vote' instead of electorial.

And overseas jobs ? To be honest, I can't see folks making $20 and more an hour for unskilled jobs due to union demands.

I'm sorry... maybe I should have put an asterisk next to the part of the comment where I was being facetious and used the word trust and Romney in the same sentence. I find it hard to believe that he can stand there and slam the President for not creating enough American jobs, but knowing in his heart that he has invested in Chinese corporations that were going to pay what, maybe 80 or 90 cents an hour to do the same job that your neighbor or your brother was being paid $14 an hour, and then tell the crowd that he will do much more to bring jobs back.

In an unrelated story, post-bailout General Motors has been experiencing their greatest growth in China and Middle Eastern countries. Seven out of ten GM products are being manufactured off-shore.
Excluding UAW members...what has GM done for YOU lately?

GM workers in the USA cost a lot more than $20 an hour. If you ad burden, the real cost for the worker, it comes to $65 an hour. Totally unsustainable no matter how much money the government takes from the people to feed the unions to vote for oBummer.
Also the government can pay for and force the company to make electric cars but forcing the people to buy them is a whole different kettle of fish.

Trust but verify!! Ok President needs to prove that he has a valid birth certificate to qualify him as a qualified candidate to be the President !!

I seem to see tv coverage by a lawyer that Obama was not qualified to be a candidate !! Where was his integrity to prove to the American people he qualified!!

On the other hand his opponent was a tried and true war hero, probably the best candidate since Reagan to run !!

America needs to wake up and get that everything is not about money. Where you find character you will have the right stuff to do the right things to make this country great again and not a laughing stock by the rest of the world.

I know if our founding fathers saw what is America today in the political arena they would be aghast !!

I served this country in the military for 32 years and have seen what we have become in this arena and although I am proud to have served, I have seen how much we have slid backwards.

We have so much potential!

How much longer will the backbone of this country tolerate lack of integrity, greed, and corruption !!

Let's trust but verify, it's to bad that we have to!!

Yearning to see so much more!!

Yep, good ole Barry's fighting for those U.S. jobs and taxing the wealthy. Jeffrey Immelt - within months of the '08 election closed a number of GE plants and moved them to China. And now some more good news for the "Jobs Czar"

Romney, Bush I, Kissinger are mainly responsible for sending hundreds of thousands of American jobs to China. Their New World Order is destroying America's Labor Movement.

You mean it has nothing to do with $65 an hour for labor etc.? In that case why not $250 an hour.

Gee, you say communism does work?
