Hi everyone, I have not shared photos on this gallery before but I enjoyed being in the park 2 weeks ago and came home with a lot of photos I like. Enjoy...
Notice the herd of elk crossing the valley in Pic #5
Are the elk way back by the distant trees? I need a better monitor.
If you can double-download on the image, look at the bottom left. There is a tree that is cropped so you can only see the top part. Follow that going toward 2 O'Clock to the next outcropping. The heard follows that line.
Wonderful shots! We were there early May while the herd was still in the valley before dispersing to the mountains and Yellowstone. Looks like they're back! Never saw a bear or moose- great pics. Makes me want to go back!
We didn't see a lot of wildlife when we were there in September. A coyote, some mountain sheep and a few elk. Would have loved to have seen a bear (my wife was disappointed).
Top notch work. I need to get back there late/early. I always thought by now things were pretty much god awful transport wise but the snow looks mild. Did you try to head to Yellowstone?

I believe the road to Yellowstone is closed for the winter so you have to take a roundabout way there from Grand Teton NP. When we were there, same thing Road wasn't open until, I believe, May 19. We decided to skip it and go east through the Wind River area.
