Now THAT's a sequence !
Nicely done.
I've shot pelicans diving hand held, no comparison to these but it was fun.
Gulls are underrated. I find their lines and their soaring abilities beautiful. Not to mention the brilliant white feathers. Oh, there are some species or varieties of gulls that are gray or speckled but I'm talking about the kind you have here. Really nice work. I enjoy these series of photos showing a predator doing what it does best. You stopped the action with crisp focus and nicely saturated colors. Shots 2, 3 and 4 are stunning. Good job.
Excellent set of captures, thank you for sharing. πππ

The sand that you see in the background is actually a sandbar that forms (comes and goes with the tides) the edge of a marsh which is protected. The water in the photograph is part of a channel that connects the open Atlantic to the inner salt ponds and marshes. A very beautiful area. We have to take what we are given in this area.
That's kind of what I thought, other than way to far to walk around. we too have the same issues at our beach house in NJ. It's always an "If I could only get over there" situation. Anyway...still a great series. Thanks for sharing.

Marvelous sequence! (The 1DX is on my shopping list.)
