It isn't a rock, it is part of the larger Colorado plateu, one huge sandstone formation. I was at this same site 25 years ago, you have done a great job capturing the area because the overhang is almost always in the shadow area of the dwelling, it is also a bit of a climb to get into the dwelling, so the locals discourage the hike because of ongoing preservation of the area. This is also why "Bears Ears" has become controversial, this is only one of hundred's of areas outside of Bluff that need protection. Most of the Colorado plateu is in Utah. Sorry for any misspelled words.
Another comment about Twin Rocks, the Cafe became a thorny controversy because of it's location, the owners wanted to capitalize on the location and disregard the environmental foreground around this area. Before the Cafe landed you could get some nice environmental shots here showing the distance to the rocks, so much for economic development. The Cafe could have been across the area (other side of the road) with a year-round view of the formations, instead they wanted to be in the middle of every picture. The community couldn't afford to buy the right of way to protect the entrance, there is a trail along the shoulder that was a nice place to go in Bluff for a short hike. This site was a community Icon for the locals, but then development has a way of "TRUMPING" the local issues.
