These are wonderful captures Dave. I particularly like the shot of the mare with her foal. The flare of her nostrils tells the story.

So jealous of you and all the horses you have been blessed to come upon and get the chance to watch and capture their beauty. My recent visit to Salt River (on your recommendation) was successful. We can upon them on our FIRST stop. Our encounter consisted of about 9 horses but they were very chilled and just hanging out. It was amazing that they just looked at us and came towards us about 4 feet and stared at us. Guess we bored them. Across the river we did see a colt with 2 horses but it was a lighter color than the one you shot. Such a wonderful memory that I was able to share with my daughter that l had gone to visit in Tempe. Greatest part was that they did not know about the horses and where to go and maybe get a chance to see them.
