This photo was taken on the morning of November 6,2018 from Grass Valley California. The moon is 1 day before new moon. From the moon's point of view the earth is almost full and the reflected earth light (known as earthshine) allows us to see the entire moon not just the bright waning crescent illuminated by sunlight. To the right is the planet Venus and above Venus is the star Spica in the constellation Virgo. The Sierra Nevada mountains above lake Tahoe are silhouetted at the bottom of the picture.
Very nice! I heard the term "earth shine" for the first time ever, last month, and here it is again
Nice!!!
My eyes keep going to the white spot on the right--did you think about eliminating it?

The white spot is the planet Venus and was intentionally left in the photo. The star Spica can be also seen above Venus. I do have a more zoomed in shot of just the moon that I will submit.

Here is a view of just the moon on the same morning taken with a 400mm focal length.
