That is clever! Play the movie, and have it converted immediately. This would be good if you plan to make money doing it, but not for half a dozen rolls of family film.

Where did you see the name "Titan"?

I converted mine years ago with an 8mm projector and a camcorder. This would probably produce better quality results.

Titan is the name Wolverine gave the unit. I failed to mention that it only takes 3 to 4 seconds to scan and save a slide. I did several thousand of my own slides using a flat bed scanner about 12 years a go. SLOW, SLOW!

Did I get this right? You only bought this to convert slides for a friend? You're a good friend, for sure.

.

I would love to have a converter, but most of my negatives are medium format (120 format. 2 1/4 x
2 1/4, or 2 1/4 x 1 7/8 format, which is 645 format.) They don't make personal scanners that take those negatives. Bummer!
Rich...

Actually the β€œfriend” is my son. He has all of the old slides that belong to his father in law. He wanted to convert them to digital as a Christmas gift for his father in law. He really does not have the time to do this. I told him I would convert them for him if he paid me the difference between the cost of the Wolverine machine and what I can sell it for. My time is free. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‡±πŸ‡·πŸ‘

Well then, in that case I have to say you're a good dad. Hope you sell it soon. I would have been interested in it but I had to do what you did with a SLOW, SLOW flat-bed scanner.

I wouldn't bother, just a cheap piece of plastic crap!

I don't know how you think you know that. I have the F2D Mighty 7-in-1 Film to Digital Converter and it's not only high quality but it does a nice job on both negatives and slides. The Titan looks like a newer model. I'd consider it if I didn't already have one.
