Do you know about liveview focusing if you have it on your camera ? Zoom in and focus for much better focusing. Bump the iso up and open the aperture and you still should be able to see the subject in the dark. Good standard of photos is shown above though

Hi Greg! It is weird to see how much light these cameras can gather at night. I took a shot of Janny with her call phone open and she was holding it it front of her. It was almost blown out it was so bright. And I was across the yard. But she will not let me post it.:) She had her tongue out, didn't think I would get the shot. :)

Erv, heres what i do. i waste a shot with the flash turned on so i can get focus, then after it is focus i switch to manual focus on the lense.
