Great set, but one correction. Whitewater falls in your photos is the upper portion completely in North Carolina. Lower Whitewater falls in South Carolina is a little bit further downstream and not in any of your shots.

I used the D800 with 24-120 lens. The upper falls was at F22 at 1/4 sec ISO100 44 mm. They provided a handy sign to balance the camera on. The lower falls was f16 at 1/13 second hand held (no guard rail) ISO100 46 mm.

We were near the border a lot of the time and I wasn't paying much attention to the exact location. I was referring to the upper and lower at that location which according to my pamphlet is just inside SC. I didn't know there was an upper falls in NC. Have to check it out sometime. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your more than generous comments! It is a beautiful part of SC. We try to get up into the hills and mountains whenever we can! Not many good places to eat even though there are a lot of expensive gated communities around Lake Jocassee and Kiowee. Go figure! ;o)

I know were there last year! This was our second attempt at Chasing Waterfalls! I think I might have posted those. Some are very hard to find especially in SC. NC does a better job of signage. We found Blue Sluice by accident. There was a group of young kayakers there and they told us your here! lol!

Having been there numerous times, the Whitewater Falls are located on SC /NC border not on the border with GA. Your photos are beautiful! Try a visit to the Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel and near by falls.
