Was that a long game or what? I'm glad the Dodgers won, but seriously I was getting so tired that I was hoping it would end regardless of outcome.

Oh but what a game! Hope that the Series goes seven games. October baseball is great.

I agree. I am from LA. But after so a long game, I just wanted ut Over.

My wife watched it to the bitter end on live TV. I shut down my computer and put the dogs to bed, then went into the living room to read for a while and found her still up watching the game. One batter was so tired he appeared to almost fall backwards once. It must have been worse for the Boston players since their native time zone is 3 hours ahead.
Even though I am not a "sports nut" (my parents* were, my wife is) but I don't have the gene - I do enjoy watching with family or friends sometimes but it is being with the people, not the sport that is the draw. While teaching I did do supervision at games and enjoyed observing the students, families and yes, the game.
*When she retired from Sears she got cable just for sports, she watched - baseball, football, basketball, Olympics, roller derby, ice skating and even Bass Fishing and Soccer. I don't recall her watching auto racing but she did watch horse racing because she thought the houses were beautiful when running.
I was told that on October 8 1945 when I was born Detroit was in the series and there was a game that day. (my parents met working for Packard motors and stayed until I was 18 months) My mother made the cab driver stop at a news stand that had a radio to check on the game on the way to the hospital - I was born 20 minutes after she arrived - even the doctor just barely made it because he stopped to check on the game.

Tonight's game should be something. Everyone will be a little tired especially both bullpens. I think both teams exhausted their relief pitching. Can't watch but I have XM radio. Still hope it not a extra innings game.

I watched until the end of the 16th, it was 1 am here and I went to bed! I figured the Dodgers would eventually win as Boston had played out its entire bullpen. 97th pitch by Eorodoza (sp) ended it in 18. He was simply played out and had no one for relief at that point!

I didn't watch it, but it's got to be tough putting in a 7-hour day! I hope those guys are paid a decent wage.
330 baseballs used during this game.....
Many years ago the company I worked for treated the office staff to a SF Giants game at Candlestick Park. That was one of the longest, most boring three hours I spent. I can't imagine staying for a seven hour baseball game. Needless to say I'm not a baseball fan. I like playing baseball and was on the company baseball team (as well as the bowling and volleyball teams) but I'm not much for watching other people
play - especially when they are being paid to play the game.

I’m in New England and I watched that game to the bitter end— 3:30 AM our time. I was disappointed in the outcome. I went to bed at 10 last night with the Sox down 4-0 but awoke to happiness!!

Always looked at an extra innings game as free baseball, but I have to admit that was A lot of free baseball.
I went to bed at 11:00 couldn't sleep got back up at 12:30 got to watch another complete game! I would say they get paid fairly well David Price makes about 30 million dollars a year or 17000 dollars per inning
