Number 6 Stonework from the Southwest

Errick, You do not have to upload each pic separately. You can have them all, up to 10, in one post. After uploading the first one, click on "browse" again and upload another. Keep doing that until you've done all you want. Up to 10 pics at a time. There is a few seconds lag time to load the next pic, just be patient and it'll pop up on the screen.
Hope this helps.

And I think "oddity" would be a little bit of
an understatement...LOL

Thanks, Tim! Yes, he was extremely eccentric!

These images are from Devil's Den in Gettysburg, PA.

Our family goes there several times a year, and we always have
a good time, but we also remember that during the civil war,
close to 500 soldiers lost their lives on the battlefield, over 1660
were wounded and many of those died days later from their wounds,
and there were over 500 troops missing in action...all in about two days.

Tim

Nice group, Tim! Looks like everyone had fun!

This week's challenge is all about rocks. I'd like to see your take on rocky things--both man-made and natural. Here are a couple to start: the first 5 are man-made, the last two are from Mother Nature. Enjoy and
I am looking forward to some creative shots.

Beautiful start, katspangle. Thanks for hosting, and if you've been on here long enough you know my obsession with rocks, especially if used in man made stuff. All y'all may get tired of my shots from DC a couple of weeks ago, but they do have some pretty cool man made stuff using natural stone there, so here I am again.
The ghostly faces in the polished granite wall at the Korean Memorial are of real people who served there, and the reflection of the soldiers in the platoon moving up the hill make this one of my favorites to visit.
Was trying to capture cloud formations through these stone pillars at the Tomb of the Unknown.
Lincoln's memorial has some natural stone in the foundation walls, and a whole lot of carved natural stone throughout the structure. A most memorable memorial.
