It is on the site of an old casino that flooded back in 1994. The natural springs got to about 14 feet above flood level. The bldg. that was on site was still standing after the water receded, but was never re-done. Several years later, it was torn down, and the site is now a park. The wall is there as a reminder of the old casino.
Here are a few I did while attending a workshop the end of Sep. One of my assignments was reflections.

I like all three of your photo. where were you when you took them? the light fixture looks so real.

Coyote Flatz, Really like the third shot. I have seen this type of reflection before but never thought about a photo. Thanks for sharing and teaching me something today..
Thanks Guys... First I have to say sorry, I normally try to sign my name to a post.
It's Don.
When I first looked at the third one I had to really look hard to pick every thing out. It shows not only the reflection of the building across the street but there's a lot showing on the other side of the glass.
I do have to say, that's about the straightest piece of glass I've ever seen. Hardly any distortion in the reflection.
Thanks again,
Don
Really like the boat dock reflection! Here's a few more reflection photos:
When I go to Chicago one of the things I have to go back and shoot is "Cloud Gate" AKA 'The Bean" It is 110 tons of polished stainless steel in the shape of a bean! The reflections off this thing are something else.
Da Bean
The night is near
They stand in awe!
Not quit "The Bean", but it is reflections in chrome.
reflection on the lake, the first one i thought the snow cap was the only reflection, then i saw a line in the middle of the picture as i was trying to figure out if it was a railroad or a road it dawned on me it was the top of the picture. beautifully done. on the next one I like the reflection on the floor would have never thought of that.the last one where was this taken? is that a cabin on the left of the picture?

not quite " The Bean" your picture is quite innovative is it bars on your kitchen window ?. I would have never thought of doing that.

I wish some one would figure out how to make the reply go under the picture it is talking about.
