Ugh! I realize what I wrote may have come off in a snobbish or weird way. I meant that I like seeing homes of ordinary people and learning about their lives and culture as opposed to just visiting monuments and museums, castles and wineries, hotels and restaurants.

pg. 7

Nothing snobbish at all! It's wonderful to be able to interact with people from cultures so different from our own.

You are ready for the "Long Winter"!!!

I did those a couple years ago - they have all been eaten since. I'm starting to think about more soups and broth right now although the project will have to wait until it's definitely cold. I cook the broth for almost 24 hours on the wood stove in big pots which are then put out on the porch to cool and for the fat to congeal. Then the broth is ready to be canned as such or transformed into soup. I usually do several dozen jars at a time and haven't bought the Campbell's version in years.
