I just purchased the NIK collection because I wanted HDR Pro. After installing it, I cannot find it. Its not in the automation tools nor under the presets in the Edit menu. Does anyone know how this works with this version? I saw earlier posts and other got it to work with prior versions. Thanks.

It's not in my PSE 2018 list, either. However, you can go to the folder where the exe files are located and open HDR as a stand-alone app. That is the way I was advised to use with earlier PSE 12.

Hi Linda,

I see you have Elements 18. I have been using Elements 12 & have Elements 14. 14 doesn't seem to work as well on my computer, as 12, and so I use 12 most of the time.

Is 18, in your opinion, a whole lot better than 12, and worth the upgrade?

Thanks.
Michael

Hi Michael. I wouldn't know because I don't have 12. However, I imagine they've made many improvements over 12. 2019 is out now, you might want to read the specs and see if its worth the upgrade. IMHO - there's lots of issues with Organizer in 2018. I've been thinking about putting a list together and posting to the site. I miss Picassa.

I use Elements 14 and HDR Pro (which I DO NOT use) is a stand alone program, not an Elements plug-in. The best way to access it (in my opinion) is to go to the NIK collection file, right click the HDR file and send it to your desktop (as a copy). After you do that you can open it from your desktop.

thanks. I created a shortcut and put it in the start menu under Photography where I have my other programs. Do you work with HDR? And if so, what program do you use? The HDR program in Photoshop elements 2018 is very hard to work with - IMHO.
