Thanks Karin...I really enjoyed my short time in Ohio. Almost got to Cleveland, but our destination was Cedar Point near Sandusky.

A lot of great roller coaters there James.

James, I apologize for interceding in your posting, but I thought you might like to see your image without the leading lines poles.
I did this just for your own interest and to satisfy your curiosity as stated in your original post, and I mean no offense in coopting your post.

You will notice that the Snapheal program used created some unusual artifacts involving the coliseum-like building and its surroundings. My purpose was to satisfy your curiosity about a cleaner highway image, and not to create a finished image.

James, I apologize for interceding in your posting... (show quote)

I prefer the one with the poles--don’t know what James thinks.

I prefer my shot, didn't totally like the repeating pattern in his version. Still wish it didn't have poles. I'm so tired of wires and poles, but that's really not possible with this scene, so I'll just have to live with it.

Thanks everyone, some interesting suggestions and comments. There is a great view of the city from the Kentucky side riverfront. One of these days, maybe I can stop instead of having to drive through. Thanks again folks. See ya...

I agree. The telephone poles gives a good leading line into the scene. When they were removed the road then actually gives the leading line. I guess this shows the telephone pools are a more powerful leading line. At least for my personal view. From all my reading I understand how powerful for composition leading lines can be but I don't recognize and use them. I am going to go out tomorrow and practice using leading lines. Thanks for the post that gave me a wonderful idea for my next project.

Cedar Point! Now you're talking James. I lived in Central Ohio for a time and Cedar Point was my favorite fun place to go. I am a wooden roller coaster fanatic, and the Blue Streak is a great one.

The better view of Cincinnati is the one in the rear view mirror!!! Nice shot, otherwise!
