Very quaint, kitschy town in the Black Hills of South Dakota, about 50 miles west of Rapid City. Buildings are mostly period correct from the 1890s. Lots of great post processing opportunities.
Exposure, straightening and cropping in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop with considerable retouching, Topaz Adjust and Impression2.
Love the architecture and PPing.
Great pics - very pleasant to look at. Excellent perspective.
I really like what you’ve done with these. Hard to define but it is very appealing!
Monet meets the American West! Cool post processing.
Very cool effects - looks great!
Excellent work. I love your pp on these.
Nice. Creative post processing.
Very nice work! I lived in Rapid City SD in late 70's and early 80's when stationed at Ellsworth as a Missileer and visited Deadwood often. I remember the Franklin Hotel and The Number 10 before they were rehabilitated by the casinos when they moved in. The town was crumbling before the casinos put $$$ into preserving the historic buildings and the madams of the Green Door and the Red Door converted to tour guides since their prior profession was no longer legal!
Wonderful work! The applied effect reminds me of color pencil/crayon rendering, which suits this subject very well.
