For Sale: D750/24-120/MD-16 Battery Grip

Purchased around cyber Monday this past year. It has never been taken out of the packaging. I had purchased a used D750 from a fellow Hogger and really liked the camera. It was not part of the initial recall of this camera but found out later it was part of the second recall (not announced at the time I purchased it so no bad reflection on the seller). Anyway, when I sent it in for repair this great deal on the 750 kit was announced and I thought it would be nice to have a new 750 and the price was great -- the 750, 24-120 f4 lens, and battery grip for 1999.95 + tax. 2119.95 total. I received the repaired 750 back about the same time the new one arrived. The one sent back from Nikon was like new! I'm sure anyone that has had a recall by Nikon can vouch for this --- when they have a camera in for a recall, when it leaves their shop, they put it back into factory specs. They replaced rubber, cleaned the camera and when I got it back it looked like a brand new camera. I had to check the serial # to be convinced it wasn't a new one. I should have waited for the return and most likely would not have purchased the kit. I also thought it would be a chance to compare the 24-120 f4 with the 24-105 Sigma that I really enjoyed using. After getting my repaired 750 back I didn't want to mess with anything in the kit and it has never been out of the box. I don't usually sell my Nikon equipment -- just hard to part with old friends! I still have my 300 which really launched me into the Nikon camp. I still have the 300s, two 700s, a 7000, 5100, 5300, D90, 800, and 810, and P7100. The only reason I finally decided to part with this kit is I'm looking at maybe selling a couple of pieces and going after the D850. Nikon currently has the camera and lens on sale for 2195.00 but the grip is another 365.00. I would like to get my investment back but know I'm going to have to loose something. This camera of course was never registered so there should still be three or four months warranty on it -- I'll e-mail the original purchase info which could be used by the buyer if there is an issue. Yes, I know Nikon warranties are not transferrable but then again they don't ask to see your driver's license! If you have the purchase receipt and the camera hasn't been registered, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm going to ask for the best offer over 2000.00. I'll take Pay Pal and pay the fee and also postage and insurance. A personal check will work as well but will delay shipping for about 10 days for the check to clear. This will put me in the hole a couple of hundred dollars, but as I said, I know there is punishment for being too fast on the GAS and waiting to do anything about it.

Asking price is way too high! The same setup in excellent condition is +/- $1600.

Well shoot, gosh darn, if a 400.00 discount isn't enough off for a system that hasn't been touched by human hands since leaving Nikon's factory then I guess I'll just have to keep it! As you can tell from my post, I don't get too excited about selling off my gear anyway. Thanks for your opinion.

Seems like a fair price to me for a new camera, lense and grip. Great camera & lense. I have two of them.

Thanks for that. Someone earlier posted that he could find a set like this for 1600.00. I looked on line and did find one at that price but here is the difference: No warranty rather than 60 to 90 days like mine, taking the person's word that it is in excellent condition vs. factory new condition, it had 15,000 shutter count that while low is still not factory fresh like the one I'm offering. So if someone wants to gamble 1600.00, then I say they should buy that system. I've had little response to this ad so I guess I too have two of these! No problem since I find myself shooting this more often than the 810 to maximize card usage and download times, and I like the swing out view screen for low level shooting.
