Inspired by the recent posts of bee captures, I took my camera out last night to see what I could do. I do not have a macro lens, so to get the shallow DoF I wanted I used my Sony 100-400 4.5 - 5.6 GM OSS lens at 400mm. Also, I had to use the auto-focus because of the rapid movement of the bees. The camera body is the Sony a7rIII. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well done, Mike. Very nice close-ups. To get really close you'll need a macro lens, though. However; if this is as close as you care to get then you need not worry, these are very nice.

Thanks for the kind words, Ken. I will just have to save up for a macro.

The only suggestion I have is to keep doing what you're doing. These are great!
